Safeguarding contact
Dominic Toussaint is the initial safeguarding contact for Cresswell Academic. Concerns should be sent to contact@cresswellacademic.com. Immediate danger should be reported to the relevant local emergency service.
Tutor selection and verification
Every prospective tutor must complete a live video interview with Dominic Toussaint and provide evidence of relevant diplomas or academic qualifications before approval. Claims are checked individually. This process is not represented as a criminal-record check. Cresswell may introduce additional identity or jurisdiction-specific checks as the service develops.
Approved channels
Lessons ordinarily take place through Google Meet. Service communications should use approved channels. Students should not be encouraged to communicate privately with tutors outside those channels, and tutors must not arrange in-person contact without Cresswell and the parent or guardian.
Parents and guardians
Parents or guardians may receive appropriate information about attendance, academic focus, progress and concerns, taking account of the student’s age and privacy. They should tell Cresswell promptly about any support or safety information reasonably needed for online lessons, without disclosing unnecessary sensitive material.
Online conduct
Professional language, appropriate dress and a suitable lesson environment are expected. Tutors must not record lessons, take screenshots, share student material or seek unnecessary personal information unless there is a clear lawful purpose and appropriate prior consent.
Raising and handling concerns
Cresswell will take concerns seriously, preserve relevant information, restrict contact where appropriate and seek external advice or make a report when required by law or necessary to protect a person. Retaliation against someone who raises a genuine concern is not acceptable.
